Women are increasingly emerging as drivers of growth, innovation, and resilience across multiple sectors.
Women comprise 48.5% of India’s 1.4 billion population, contributing significantly to national development: they account for 13% of the world’s commercial pilots, 50% of medical graduates, and 51% of STEM graduates.
Additionally, women are leading over 50% of the new-age industries in India. Yet, despite these accomplishments, women constitute only 32.7% of India’s working-age workforce as of 2023.
